Hawai`i Public Theatre held a free workshop for the Hawai`i community of from February 21-24, 2023 at LCC Studio Theatre from 5pm - 9pm. This workshop was co-sponsored through a grant from Leeward Community Collegeʻs Arts and Humanities and Innovations in Action Award and the Leeward Community College Theatre Department. Amrita is a professor of clown at the University of Southern California and has won awards for her devised performance work in Australia, Los Angeles, and Edinburgh. As a Punjabi American artist, Amritaʻs work explores core themes of humanity, like death and love, through a comedic lens of the current political climate. This workshop was for beginner to experienced actors.
